We are Optimum Extracts, a Tacoma-based cannabis company looking to build a Senior-Level Graphic Design Internship for students completing degrees related to graphic design, visual communication, media arts, or related areas.

who are you?
You’re a 21+ senior-level design student in your upper division courses (or recently graduated) and looking for real-world experience that actually builds your portfolio.
Comfortable working within the regulated cannabis industry, this internship is designed to plug you directly into a working creative team, where your designs will be seen by real customers.
You’ll support the Creative Director and design team across brand, social, retail, and merch projects. Learning how ideas move from concept to production in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
who we’re looking for
Upper-division student or recent graduate, must be 21+ to apply
Studying Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Media Arts, or similar
Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop (Premiere Pro or comparable video editing software is a plus, not required)
Strong attention to detail
Curious, growth-minded, and open to feedback
Organized, process-driven, and reliable with deadlines

This is a hands-on role. You won’t just be observing, you’ll be designing.
Social media content design (static + light motion)
Print Collateral (flyers, signage, point-of-sale materials)
Swag and merchandise ideation (tees, stickers, etc.)
Supporting brand campaigns through various mediums
